Financial Aid & EITC Program
Scholarships are available to qualifying families through our PennGift scholarship fund. Canaan Christian Academy participates in the PA EITC (Educational Improvement Tax Credit) program to raise scholarship monies for low and middle income families. Parents seeking scholarship help are screened by FACTS Management to determine if they meet the state's eligibility requirements. If they qualify, they receive scholarship aid as determined by CCA. Award amounts are variable depending on family income and number of students enrolled at CCA. In recent years, all families that have been approved received a minimum of $1700.00. Call the school to find out more and how to apply for scholarship aid.
Pennsylvania has a program available for private schools that enables them to solicit donations from business and individuals with the guarantee that the donors will receive a 90% refund of their donation, if the money is donated to the school's scholarship fund.
- The amount that a donor can give is based on the donor's PA tax liability for the calendar year.
- The money received can then be applied to the tuition of students who meet the income limits of the program. These limits are generous, so that low and middle income families usually can participate.
- Canaan Christian Academy uses the Penngift Foundation to process these donations, as per state requirements.
If interested in giving to this program or requesting scholarship help, please contact the school office and someone will connect with you to explain the program more thoroughly.
