We believe in rewarding accomplishment and excellence. Throughout the school year, students at each grade level receive recognition in a variety of areas. Competitions in other areas from outside the school include the Marywood College Math Competition and the KCEA Testing and Creative Writing Competition.
In addition to the awards listed to the right, our students in grades 3 through 12 can become eligible to receive CCA awards in twelve areas. During the last week of school a special chapel service is held to award honors in the following areas:

Perfect Attendance Award
|
Given to each student who has maintained perfect attendance for the entire year.

Eagle Spirit Award
|
Given to those students exhibiting the greatest spirit of enthusiasm, cooperation, and positive attitude toward the school as a whole. Recipients are selected by their peers with faculty confirmation.

|
Excellence in Academics Award
|
To students achieving a yearly academic average of 96% or higher in each academic area.
|
|
Highest Average Award
|
Given to students in each grade who receive the highest overall grade average
|
|
“B” Honor Roll
|
Given to students who have earned a final academic average of B for the year.
|
|
“A” Honor Roll
|
Given to students who have earned a final academic average of A for the year.
|
|
Excellence in Progress and Performance
|
This award goes to a student in each grade who has improved the most in attitudes and academics. Improvement is based upon comparison to second semester averages over first semester averages within the context of a maturing, positive attitude.

Teacher Award
|
Given to students who have demonstrated significant drive to maintain average or above average academics; who have worked hard to succeed at everything they have been called to do; and are dependable with a strong desire to learn and are a joy to teach.

The President’s Academic Fitness Award
|
This national award is given to students in sixth, seventh, eighth and graduating seniors who have maintained an overall B+ academic average and have achieved a battery score at or about the 80th percentile on the Stanford Achievement Test.

I Timothy 4:12 Award
|
Given to students who have most consistently been an example of behavior in word, conduct, love, spirit, faith, and purity of life. Recipients are selected by their peers with faculty confirmation

Proverbs 31 Award
|
This goes to the high school Senior girl who most consistently demonstrates the qualities of the virtuous woman found in Proverbs 31. This is the highest spiritual award presented to a CCA girl.

The Daniel Award
|
The Daniel Award goes to the high school Senior boy who most consistently demonstrates Christian Character as found in Daniel 1:8. This is the highest spiritual award presented to a CCA boy.
