There are BIG changes taking place in CCA’s kindergarten program. Starting in September 2013, our K-5 program will be five days a week! Susan Chapman, our beloved K-5 teacher, is retiring after 35 years of dedicated service to the Lord and to Canaan Christian Academy. Mrs. Denise Eason, a CCA alumnus, and a valued teacher here for over 15 years will be moving into the position as the new K-5 teacher. Mrs. Eason has taught our youngest students in the 4 year old pre-kindergarten class (K-4) for 7 years. Now she is excited to have the opportunity to expand our three-day-a-week K-5 program to a full five day program. This change will allow for a firmer educational foundation and even more fun during the learning process. Our strong emphasis on the phonetic method of learning to read will not change.
